Howdy! My name is Gavala, I'm a freelance/hobby artist from Dallas, Texas! I'm a fulltime student studying forensic chemistry with minors in biology and criminal justice. I am very passionate about art, writing, and science and love sharing my stories with everyone!My interests include sandbox games, RPGs, music, history, reading and chemistry! I love writing stories that revolve around the occult or religious groups, as well as alternate-earth settings and historical fiction.

GENERAL
I reserve the right to respectfully decline any commission I see fit at any point during the process.
I do not accept AI-generated reference material.
I only accept commissions through VGEN.TERMINOLOGY
"I" - Referring to myself, Gavala.
"You/Yourself" - Referring to the reader or client.
"Client in prior good standing" - Referring to a returning client or individual I am familiar with who is in good standing.
"Custom/Custom Design" - Wherein NO references, ONLY mood board, or ONLY written descriptions are provided and I am credited as the original designer of the design I am making.
"Reference" - Referring to any previously designed character art, Pinterest boards (NO AI), outfit references and images, hair inspiration, face claims, etc.PAYMENTS & FEES
Payments are expected to be provided before the commission begins. Payment plans or other assistance is by request only to any client in prior good standing.Fees are heavily dependent on the type of commission you are ordering and will always be directly itemized and communicated to you through your proposal before payment. If you have questions regarding these fees, please feel free to DM directly.Complexity Fees: Any fees pertaining to the overall complexity of the request, including: clothing, features, backgrounds, dynamic poses, items, props and weapons.
Labor Fees: Any fees pertaining to additional labor of the request, including: difficult-to-read references, no references, or custom work.
Add-Ons: Add-Ons vary by commission type and are optional, form-dependent choices. Add-Ons are subjected to the same pricing standards as the above fees.
Additional Fees: Additional fees may be included depending on special requests or extenuating circumstances.REVISIONS
Revisions are provided for any request within reason with the exception of SKEB style commissions. Each stage of the request will be clearly communicated with you and progress will not continue until you have confirmed each check in.Minor revision requests are free and unlimited so long as they are made during the current stage of the work (eg. requesting a lineart change during the lineart phase, etc.)
Major revision requests will incur a small fee depending on the cost of labor and time needed to adjust your request (eg. requesting a major pose adjustment.)
Complete overhaul requests after the sketch/concept phase will not be possible.DEADLINES AND DELIVERY
I will always do my best to provide your artwork within the set deadline time, however if any issues arise communication will be provided.Rush-orders incur a fee and are uncommon, and are only available per-request by a client in prior good standing when I am physically able to complete the request.USE
Once you have received your completed art, you are free to use it however you see fit. I am not responsible for how my art is used by its paying client once it has left my hands. You are welcome to hand-edit any art, characters or custom(s) you receive from me, or have other artists do the same.Commercial rights & merchandising rights to any art is available by request.However, I humbly request the following:
Please do not use my art for AI generation or training.Please try to credit me if posting my art on any platform.Use of my art or images to promote topics such as anti-semitism, pro-genocide, pedophilia, or other hateful content is strictly not allowed.
Clients who violate these terms will be blacklisted.CUSTOMS
Custom designs made by me have additional terms of use:
Any design I create must be credited back to me as the original designer.REFUNDS
Full refunds are available before a final sketch pass has been confirmed; once I move onto the next stage of the commission, I cannot provide a full refund.
Partial refunds are available during any part of the process, however may vary depending on how much labor has already been provided. This will be communicated directly per request.Any refund requested by me will be provided as a full refund.Please contact me at your earliest availability for refunding. If I receive multiple refund or cancellation requests from a client, I will no longer be willing to work with you.LOYALTY CARD TERMS
Loyalty cards are handed out by request only and you will be asked if you would like one. One stamp on your loyalty card is given per slot on specific commission types that are included in the loyalty card program. Each loyalty card is given a specific ID and is upkept by myself.Commissions that are not included in the loyalty card program can not take advantage of any loyalty card bonus or reward and will not give your card a stamp."Add-On" rewards may choose one add-on specific to the commission type you are requesting to be included for free (eg. props, weapons, etc.) -- alternatively, can be exchanged as waived fees off your total."Extra" rewards may choose one additional item to be added to their slot from any commission type, up to a certain $ amount. Alternatively, can be exchanged as waived fees off your total.Rewards do not need to be used immediately, however they also cannot be stacked.COMMUNICATION
Communication is available through Vgen or Discord. Communication through other platforms will not be accurate or timely, so please only reach out to me via these platforms.Updates for all requests will be available at every point of the commission.Email correspondence & files available via email by request only.
